My name is Jen. I live in southern California with my boyfriend/life partner, Josh and our sons, Ryder and Maddux (my first baby-my furbaby, Finnegan, is forever in our hearts). I turned 30 in October, 2014 and am figuring out this whole adulthood thing. I get really overly excited when I cook something great or figure out general life things so I thought I would create a blog as an outlet for my excitement, and so someday I can share all these things with my kids since they have been my reason for really growing up.
I am about 65% crunchy/hippy and try to be natural and organic as much as possible. I am sort of obsessed with food. Mostly in such a way that I want to eat the way that makes me feel the best and I want it to be the easiest way possible. So I will share my adventures. I try a lot of paleo recipes because I like the ingredients that are involved and the healing potential for autoimmune diseases.
I have psoriasis, which is an autoimmune disease, and is what lead me to the paleo diet. Although diet is a strong word. I mostly “follow paleo recipes” when I am cooking. Junky pizza and In-N-Out get the best of me a lot and I do love cheese, but being healthy is a journey and certainly is not always going to be perfect for me.
Happy reading and happy adult-ing! I hope you find something rad here.
